Semi-finals
Ukraine win 4-0 against Latvia.
The first of two semi-final matchups saw Ukraine take on Latvia at the Batumi Beach Arena.

It was a fast from the Ukrainians as Zborovskyi’s headed attempt found the bottom-right corner to give his nation the lead inside two minutes. Ukraine didn’t stop their scoring in the period there either, as Potapov doubled their lead before the first period of play concluded.

Ukraine replicated their scoring in the second period as Korniichuk blasted the home for the third and Shchytnik converted for their fourth. Going into the final period, the Ukrainians held a comfortable four-goal advantage of Latvia.

Scores remained the same once the final whistle blew as both teams failed to score in the third period, meaning that Ukraine secured victory to claim a place in the final.

UAE win 6-5 against Georgia.
The final match of the day in Batumi was the second semi-final in the Euro Beach Soccer League Georgia 2024 – Batumi International Cup as Georgia came up against UAE to see who would face Ukraine in the final.

With just over 90 seconds played in the crucial match, UAE opened the scoring courtesy of Mohamed. Despite the minor setback for the Georgians, as a double from Makharadze gave them a 2-1 lead as the period finished.


The tides turned once again in the tie as a acrobatic brace from Abdulla and strikes from Ahmed and Waleed Beshr meant Emiratis had netted five in the match by the end of the second period. Georgia found a goal in the period, with Zhordania finding the target.

As two goals separated the two nations ahead of the final period, it was still all to play for. To the delight of the home fans in attendance, Georgia put two goals past the opposition to bring the scores level. However, with just over three minutes remaining, UAE found themselves in front once again, in what would be the winning goal from Ahmed Beshr.

5th-7th place play-off
Saudi Arabia win 7-5 against Hungary.
Having finished in the bottom positions of their respective groups, Hungary and Saudi Arabia competed for place in the 5th/6th place against Lebanon.

Bence gave the Hungarians the lead in the fixture inside two minutes, but their lead didn’t last long as Eslam found the net for Saudi Arabia 15 second later. The opening period scoring didn’t stop their for the Saudi Arabians either as Mudhaya, Alduoasri and Ramzi all took their chances in front of goal, with Saudi Arabia leading 4-1 after 12 minutes.


Eslam had a second period to remember for Saudi Arabia as he struck the back of the net on three occasions. Bence found the net for the second time for the Hungarians as Deak found their third goal of the day.

Hungary looked to make their way back into the fixture in the third period, with Ágics scoring his first of the game and Bence completed his hat-trick. Despite the two goals, the Saudi Arabians held onto the lead to secure their place in the 5th/6th place match.
