EBSL 2025 Division A Regular Stage: Road to Viareggio

Four stages, 16 teams – elite eight chase the European crown.


The Euro Beach Soccer League 2025 Division A Regular Stage has been a thrilling journey through some of Europe’s most vibrant cities. From El Puerto de Santa María to the electric atmosphere in Chișinău, the race for Superfinal qualification has delivered drama, goals, and unforgettable moments.

Stage Highlights
After four regular-stage events of the Euro Beach Soccer League 2025 Division A, Italy led the pack with two stage wins, one at home and one away, showcasing dominant form. Spain also enjoyed a flawless run, capped with a home-stage title. Belarus impressed with a stage triumph in Batumi, while Switzerland and Portugal secured their places with strong performances. Ukraine, France, and Denmark completed the Superfinal line-up, ensuring a high-calibre showdown awaits. Georgia, Estonia, Türkiye, and Latvia will face the Division A Relegation Play-offs to secure their place for 2026.

Stage 1 – El Puerto de Santa María (Spain, 23–25 May)
The 2025 season kicked off in Andalucía, as the iconic Real Plaza de Toros transformed into a packed beach soccer arena. Spain thrilled the home crowd, lifting the first stage trophy after a decisive final-day win over Ukraine. France and Portugal also impressed, while Germany, Georgia, Poland, and Türkiye fought hard and showed flashes of quality, knowing the race to Viareggio had only just begun.

Spain’s Chiky Ardil, with seven goals in three matches, claimed both the Top Scorer and MVP awards, while France’s Théo Guerin was named Best Goalkeeper.

Stage 2 – Batumi (Georgia, 18–20 July)
Batumi delivered another weekend of spectacular goals and high drama on the Black Sea coast. Belarus were unstoppable, taking three wins from three to claim the stage title ahead of Portugal in second and Switzerland in third. Portugal stayed sharp in pursuit, while Switzerland climbed the table, edging ahead of Czechia. Germany, Georgia, and Türkiye struggled to collect points, while Estonia made their season debut at this stage.

Philipp Borer of Switzerland finished as the stage’s Top Scorer, Pedro Mano of Portugal was named Best Goalkeeper, and Belarus star Anatoliy Ryabko took the MVP award.

Stage 3 – Castellammare di Stabia (Italy, 25–27 July)
Italy’s home crowd roared them to a flawless stage win, with Belarus and Switzerland maintaining their strong form. Denmark made a strong campaign debut, winning two out of three games to announce themselves as serious contenders. Meanwhile, Czechia, Estonia, Latvia, and Moldova felt the pressure mounting with just one stage remaining in the regular phase.

Switzerland’s Glenn Hodel finished as Top Scorer with seven goals, Italy’s Leandro Casapieri claimed the Best Goalkeeper award, and teammate Giordani was named MVP for his standout performances.

Stage 4 – Chișinău (Moldova, 1–3 August)
The Regular Stage finale at Chișinău’s Orange Arena decided the last Superfinal places. Italy lifted their second stage crown of the season, while Spain matched them with another flawless three-win run. Ukraine and France fought their way back into the top eight, while Denmark clinched the final ticket in eighth place. Belarus, Switzerland, and Portugal had already secured their qualification from earlier performances, leaving Moldova, Georgia, Estonia, Türkiye, and Latvia out of the running.

Spain’s Chiky Ardil finished as Top Scorer with six goals, Italy’s Leandro Casapieri was named Best Goalkeeper, and compatriot Josep Jr. earned the MVP award.

The season’s final chapter unfolds in Viareggio this September, where champions will be crowned and futures decided. The Superfinal spotlight awaits, while the Relegation Play-offs will test who truly belongs in Division A
