Last year’s finalists Lokomotiv were knocked out of the Russian Cup as Kristall remain dominant
Friday’s matches halved the hopefuls to lift the cup in Russia to just four, as Kristall, Delta, Krylia Sovetov and Spartak Moscow make the semis.
Angelo Schirinzi’s men netted 13 yet again to emphatically drop Kronshtadt-Promenad out of the competition,
Braces from Rodrigo, Bryshtel, Mauricinho, Remizov and Zharikov helped Kristall sweep aside their Baltiisk-based opposition, while their rivals from last year’s final were knocked out by Krylia Sovetov.
Two goals from Llorenç were not enough to turn around Lokomotiv’s fortunes against the Samara side, who found themselves of the right side of a 4-7 result, thanks in part to a Da Silva hat-trick and double from Lucao.
Iranian international, Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, scored twice for Spartak Moscow as they won 6-1 against ELMONT to cruise into the semi-finals.
The Moscovites will play Delta on Saturday, while Kristall are set to face Krylia Sovetov.
