SC Braga will take on Lisbon rivals Sporting CP, who beat CF Os Belenenses emphatically by nine goals to two in the quarter-finals.

Sporting then secure a spot in the final when then Rui Coimbra, Ricardo Baptista, Tomas Seixas, Nuno Belchior and Madjer each scored to see off GR Amigos da Paz 5-2 in the semi-final.

Braga won by a four-goal margin in their quarter-final match against Biblioteca Inst. Recreio but then a less convincing win saw them just manage to squeeze past Casa do Benfica de Loures by three goals to two.
