Madjer Cup returns in July

Figueira da Foz will once again host one of the most important youth beach soccer tournaments in the world


The fifth edition of the Madjer Cup will take place between the 14th and 16th July in Buarcos Bay in Figueira da Foz, Portugal. The competition was announced as usual in the U16 and U18 category, with registration open to both the boys’ and girls’ tournament.

Last year’s edition saw ACD “O Sótão” take the U18 trophy with a thrilling 9-8 win against Sesimbra, while Ramiro Amarelle Academy lifted the U16 cup beating “O Sótão” in a match that was only decided in the penalty shootout.

Patroned by the Beach Soccer Legend Madjer, the competition was born in 2018, establishing itself as one of the best youth tournaments in the world. Teams from all around the globe have been competing for glory in the iconic beach soccer location of Figueira da Foz, coming from countries such as El Salvador, Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, the UK, and the United States.

This incredible competition is the perfect venue to unite and showcase the best youth players from around the globe, who represent the future professional and national team players of this exciting sport.

The Madjer Cup is one of the only youth beach soccer competition sanctioned and approved by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), the FIFA designated, organising body for the sport of beach soccer.
