The two beach soccer matches took place in Prague last weekend
Saturday and Sunday saw friendly beach soccer games take place in Prague, Czech Republic, between two teams that usually would not have the opportunity to compete against each other: Polish club Lady Grembach Lodz and the women’s national beach soccer team of the Czech Republic.
The runners-up of the World Winners Cup and national champions of Poland travelled to the Czech capital Prague to play two friendly matches.
The objectives for the 2022 season were different for the teams, as the Czech Republic prepare for the Euro Beach Soccer League and Lady Grembach will be defending the national title for the sixth consecutive year.
Lady Grembach claimed the first match on Saturday with a narrow 3-2 victory over their hosts, but Sunday saw the Czechs hit back with a tight 5-4 in the extra time.
The two coaches Jaroslaw Jagielski and Zdenek Slama promised future such events, declaring that this is not the end of beach soccer cooperation between the Czech Republic and Lady Grembach.
