Paraguay, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela clinched a semi-final berth
Matchday 4 of the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2022 saw four teams confirm their places in the semi-finals of the competition with one matchday still to go in the group stage.
Group A
After a four-goal draw in regular and extra time, Colombia and Ecuador had to take it to penalties where Los Cafeteros saw their opponents off with a 3-1 win. In the Matchday closer, Paraguay and Argentina were protagonists in what was a thrilling encounter, with the hosts winning 5-4, a result that sees them go through to the semi-finals.
Group B
Venezuela were the first team to secure a place in the next round, defeating Uruguay 4-3. The Estadio Mundialista Los Pynandi also saw Brazil put nine past Bolivia and secure the qualification with nine points in three games.
The group stage finishes today with Bolivia and Peru kicking-off the action at 12:30h, followed by Argentina against Chile, who have already guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals. Brazil face Uruguay at 15:30h and Paraguay hosts Ecuador in the final game of Matchday 5.
