The Beach Soccer USA Cup crowns the CD Nacional team a dynasty after their third straight championship in Oceanside, CA
May 16th-18th marked the Beach Soccer Championships including fun and competitive matches with girls and boys and men and women´s competitions all weekend. The matches were played on the beautiful sands of Oceanside within their beach soccer stadium overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The excitement also included the preparing of 5 Beach Soccer fields for all age groups and teams to use for practice and scrimmage on Saturday May 10th from 9am to 4pm. The entire weekend brings together the top professional and amateur athletes from the US as well as from around the world.
CD Nacional, the team from Madeira, Portugal, had to face a very tough opponent in Portland BSC to win their third straight title. The Portuguese side used an extremely quick and strong start to go up 4-1 early and stave off the American side. It is no coincidence that the MVP of the cup was from the winning team, with Lucio taking home the well-deserved honour.
