Switzerland started their national league season this past week and the year began on a raucous high
Urdorf hosted the first league matches of the year for Switzerland on the exquisite sands of Urdorf. On Friday the festivities began at 11:30am and finished around 9:00pm, while on Sunday the fun kicked off at 9:00am and ended at 6:00pm.
There were over 170 goals scored over the course of 13 matches and each one of them was spectacular. The first match of the day was between BSC Bienne Hatchets and BSC Solothurn with BSC Bienne Hatchets winning 10-7. The defending Swiss league champions, BSC Sable Dancers Bern were victorious in their two opening matches, scoring 10 goals in both, the first against BSC Scorpions Basel, who managed two goals against the Swiss kings, and the second match was over BSC Bienne Hatchets by a score of 5-10.
