The third edition of the Madjer Cup is underway in Figueira da Foz!
The international beach soccer youth tournament, in which 13 teams are participating, is divided into the Under 16 and Under 18 divisions, with a total of 180 athletes taking part.
Hosts AD Buarcos welcomed RA 10 (ESP) to their home with a 9-2 win in the U18 category, while Rostocker Robben, whose senior side are on their way to Portugal to take part in the Euro Winners Cup, defeated GRA Pocariça by 7-2.
The rest of the wins in the category were tighter as both the Warriors from El Salvador downed Escuela Amarelle, and Lazio Beach Soccer beat Navel, by five goals to four.
ACD Sotão and Buarcos took the points at the U16 level.
For Madjer Saraiva, patron of the event, this is an opportunity for young beach soccer athletes from around the world to connect, compete and socialise with each other, while performing at the highest level, helping them to carve a professional path in beach soccer.
The event goes on for the next two days with the finals scheduled for Sunday at 5pm
