Local club Buarcos scored 20 in their win on Day 2 in the U16 category
Unbeaten Buarcos (POR) and Lazio (ITA) top the groups in the U18 division ahead of the final day in Figueira da Foz.
Hosts AD Buarcos are the only team to remain perfect in the U18 category, winning twice on Friday to take their tally to nine points, while Lazio also stay unbeaten to lead Group B on seven points.
RA 10 (ESP) registered one win and one loss on the second matchday to occupy second in Group A, while Rostocker Robben are in third and GRA Pocariça bring up there rear, still yet to bag a win.
In Group B, Warriors SV (SLV) are hot on the heels of leader Lazio, while Escuela Amarelle (ESP) are just behind them in third, and Naval 1893 still have zero points.
ACD Sotão and Buarcos again to the lions’ share of the points and goals, as the Nazaré club beat GD Ilha with 16 goals and then the hosts Buarcos went four better by hitting 20 in the U16 level.
The third edition of the international beach soccer youth tournament, in which 13 teams are participating, is divided into the Under 16 and Under 18 divisions, with a total of 180 athletes taking part. The finals scheduled for Sunday at 5pm.
