Latvia secure first triumph, as UAE and Ukraine win again

Group A
Latvia win 8-4 against Hungary.
Both Latvia and Hungary took to the Batumi sands looking to secure their first wins of the competition, as the sides faced one another in Group A.
The Latvians held a two-goal advantage by the end of the first period, as Skuratovičs opened the scoring inside three minutes of kick-off as Labuts doubled the Latvian lead minutes later.
Hungary found the net twice in the second period, but goals from Razkovskis, Grīslics, Skuratovičs and Rubenis meant that Latvia held a comfortable lead with only one period to play.
Both sides found the net twice in the third and final period as Latvia held on to secure the three points.
Group B
UAE win 6-3 against Lebanon.
The first fixture from the second day of action from Batumi saw UAE, who got off to winning ways on the day one, face Lebanon, who suffered defeat on the opening day.
UAE were the only team to strike in the first period of play as Waleed Beshr got his goal scoring account started in the competition, as the Emiratis took a 1-0 lead into the break.
Al Saleh brought the scores level early in the second period, before Mustafa put Lebanon ahead for the first time in the encounter. Waleed Beshr netted his second of the match to make the scores even, but the Lebanese team restored their advantage again before the period came to a close.
The final 12 minutes belonged to UAE as they struck four times without a response from their opponents. Waleed Beshr completed his hat-trick early in the period, as Rashed struck twice and Ahmed Beshr fired home as the Emiratis completed the comeback, taking them up to six points in Group B.
Ukraine win 6-1 against Saudi Arabia.
Ukraine and Saudi Arabia brought the second day of action to a close as the Ukrainians looked to build on their first win as the Saudi Arabians aimed to bounce back after failing to achieve triumph in their opening match.
With over six minutes played, Pashko started the scoring in the match as Ukraine took a narrow 1-0 lead into the first interval.
The match got even better for Ukraine in the second period as Zborovskyi added to his goal tally, slotting the ball home twice in the period to make the score 3-0.
Zborovskyi scored this third goal to complete his hat-trick as Voitok and Shcherytsia also found the target. Alhamami scored Saudi Arabia’s only goal of the game, as Ukraine won once again.
