Belarus win 5-4 against Germany.
To get men’s action started on the final day of the Euro Beach Soccer League Nazaré, Belarus faced Germany with a victory for either side securing them a third place finish in the competition.
The teams were on level terms after the opening period came to a close, scoring two each. Hardzetski opened the scoring for the Belarusians, before Ebener equalised for the German team. Sand put Germany in front for the first time in the game, as Ustsinovich pulled a goal back for Belarus with less than two minutes remaining in the first period.
The second period belonged to the Germans as Olli and Engelhardt both found the back of the opposition net to take a two-goal advantage in the third period of the fixture.
Despite trailing by two, Belarus produced an incredible turn around in the last phase of play as goals from Kanstantsinau, Hardzetski and Piatrouski ensured a first victory of the competition for Belarus with a 5-4 win.
Portugal win 6-1 against Spain.
The last match of the men’s competition saw an Iberian derby decide who would become champions, as hosts Portugal took on Spain.
Jordan’s emphatic free-kick put the hosts ahead, as goals from Brilhante and Pintado put Portugal even further ahead against their opponents.
Léo Martins secured a brace in the second period to take Portugal’s goal scoring tally to five in the fixture, as goalkeeper Juanmi pulled a goal back for the Spaniards.
With Spain trailing by four with one period to play, they had a big 12 minutes ahead. However, Pintado increased Portugal’s lead further as he secured his brace in the match and his nation secured the title.
