France and Morocco get off to winning starts

France win 3-2 against Tanzania.
The opening match of the competition in Morocco saw France and Tanzania take to the sand, looking to get off to winning starts.
It was France who scored the only goal in the first period as Salim broke the deadlock with less than four minutes remaining in the period.
Anthony doubled France’s lead in the second phase of play in the match as Tanzania failed to score in the period, meaning they trailed by two with 12 minutes to play in the encounter.
Tanzania found themselves level with six minutes to play in the third and final period as Jaruph and Max netted goals in quick succession. However, France were the team to secure all three points as Jérémy’s strike sealed victory.
Morocco win 9-2 against Belgium.
Belgium faced hosts Morocco in the second match of the day at the Casablanca Beach Soccer Cup 2024.
The Moroccan side went into the break with the advantage as a goal from Oubahri and an own goal from Rose meant that they led 2-1, with Dorian finding the net for Belgium.
Morocco had a fantastic second period with a brace coming from Zahraoui as well as goals from Driss and El Kraichly. Keny struck for the Belgians with 90 seconds remaining in the period, narrowing the gap between the teams with only period left to play.
The hosts put the game to bed in the last period as Oubahri completed his brace and El Abassi and Souhail found their names on the scoresheet.
