The United Arab Emirates National Team, current Asian Champions after their victory in the II Asian Beach Games, have found a top-level finishing-stone regarding their preparation for the upcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011 – Asian Qualifier (Muscat, Oman; February 28th – March 4th). Russian League powerhouse Lokomotiv Moscow are these days in Dubai, taking advantage of the great weather in the Arabic peninsula as the best setting for their warming up for the National League, and both teams will face each other in three friendly games to take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“It is going to be a great test for us”, pointed UAE National Coach Marcelo Mendes; “they are a really competitive side, which count on many Russian International players, such as Leonov, Makarov, Bukhlistkyi, Shishin,… We will be given the best proof of what we need to improve for the continental appointment.” Mendes has already decided his 12-men squad to travel to Oman next week, but he will also take advantage of this triple clash against the Russian team to test see in action some players he consider interesting for the National side.
