Fenerbahçe and Turkish legends Oguz Çetin and Rustu Rencber dropped in on the beach soccer boys’ training camp
Two legends of Turkish football paid a visit to the national beach soccer team in Istanbul during their training camp that took place between 4-10 August.
Ex-Barcelona, Fenerbahçe and Turkish national team goalkeeper Rustu Rencber, as well as fellow Fenerbahçe legend Oguz Çetin, who also briefly managed the Turkish national football team in 2010, showed up to get to know and take some pictures with the beach soccer players at the TFF Riva Hasan Dogan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities.
Both ex-players are now officials in the football world, working with the Turkish Football Federation and UEFA to develop football in its various forms and age categories.
A spokesperson from the national beach soccer team said, “it is very important for us to have these meetings with such legends of the game. It is important for developing beach soccer in Turkey.”
Like many teams across Europe, the Turkish beach soccer team, captained by their talisman and BSWW Ambassador Cem Keskin, are taking their training schedule very seriously in the build-up to the Euro Beach Soccer League, due to begin this September in Portugal.
