The Tahitian National side keeps touring across Europe seeking to tune up and get to the World Cup in their best shape
The Estonian National Beach Soccer team will play host this Thursday, July 4th to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 hosts, Tahiti. The game will take place at 19:00 in Pärnu. This is the last chance for Estonia to prepare for the Euro Beach Soccer League tournament that will take place in The Hague, the Netherlands from July 19th-21st. In the EBSL The Hague 2013, Estonia is scheduled to play Greece, Norway, and Bulgaria.
The EBSL The Hague 2013 event is yet to come though and the task at hand will prove very difficult, as the Tahitian National Beach Soccer squad will be an intriguing and formidable opponent. The Tahitians have been extremely active on the Beach Soccer circuit this year, playing in many cups and friendlies all over Europe in preparation for the World Cup in September in their own country. Estonia has been doing much work, as well, in developing their brand of Beach Soccer. In fact, in June, they held a two-day Beach Soccer seminar for their local coaches and players with the Swiss National Beach Soccer team head coach and player, Angelo Schirinzi. Angelo has also been playing a key role as technical advisor for the Tahitian National team for the past year, and will be assisted in this occasion by Swiss regular Stephan Meier.
Rando Rand, the captain of the Estonian national team said, ?This is an excellent opportunity to compare ourselves with a tremendously strong team, and it will be a dress rehearsal for The Hague. I know all our players will give all that they have got, and even more. I have unwavering faith in this Estonian team.? With both teams looking to prove their high level of talent this will be a great match for fans and players alike.
Similarly, Kari-Andri Kask, manager of the Estonian Beach Soccer Federation, stated ?Having a match at home against such a strong and exotic opponent like Tahiti is a historic moment for the whole Estonian beach soccer.?
