The BSWW, the CBF, the Rio de Janeiro Federation and the Brazilian National talk about new formulas to empower the sport
Last weekend, Beach Soccer Worldwide vice-president, Joan Cusco, met CBF vice-president, Marco Polo del Nero, the president of the Rio de Janeiro Beach Soccer Federation, Rodrigo Royo, and the National Beach Soccer coach, Junior Negão, to discuss the next stepst to take for the future in such a rich environment as the Brazilian Beach Soccer one.
The meeting, held in Rio de Janeiro, was significant enough, in a context where the Brazilian National Team has been affected by some bureaucratic issues that had brought to a complex situation.
That state of affairs had raised a scenario of certain stagnation in Brazilian Beach Soccer, and such a thing to happen in the country where the sport was born, was a necessary thing to fight against. And this was precisely the first aim of the meeting, which left very good sensations in all the participants.
As has been happening worldwide, the full involvement and support by the National FA, the Confederaçao Brasilera de Futebol (CBF) became a key starting point for a bright and solid future, and now the time has come to explore new options to maximize the growing possibilities for the sport in its very cradle, both at a professional, international level and grass-root, popular, stage.
The will of all the parties, needless to say, is to have the whole machinery working in full performance in Brazil, so that the country is able to reflect all its potential, both in the creation of big players, teams and tournaments, but also in the consolidation of the sport and their valuable contribution to its global growth.
With these conversations held last weekend, the pathway is already set, and it is now a matter of working in the same direction to see Beach Soccer beat new landmarks.
