Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador will fight for the three available spots at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017
The semifinals of this Eliminatorias CONMEBOL al Mundial de Fútbol Playa de la FIFA – Asunción 2017 got defined today, following the fourth day of competition.
Hosts Paraguay and Argentina, in group A, and Brazil and Ecuador, in group B, progressed to the last-four round, where they will vie for one of the three tickets to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017.
The last group stage day will determine who plays who, with the heads of each group taking on the runner up of the other.
Both four teams, still unbeaten in the competition, made it rather clear that they wanted to access semifinals. The ones making it clearer, though, were Brazil. The defending Copa America and CONMEBOL Qualifier champions rolled past a helpless Peru, for a final score of 11-0 that clearly showcases the superiority the Verdeamarela is displaying every time they hit the sand.
Paraguay, in turn faced a combative Uruguay that made things tight until the second period. At that point, a 4-0 run by the hosts addressed things, and gave the Guaraní a new win to secure their berth amongst the best four.
Tomorrow, they will take on Argentina, qualified for semifinals, too, to see who takes on Brazil in the semifinals clash. The Albiceleste did their job by edging Bolivia, with a great performance by one of the new players in the team, Guido Rodríguez, who scored his first hat-trick for the National Team.
In the first game of the day, Ecuador reacted to Venezuela’s opener, to finally seal a win that gets them, once again, to the semifinals of these Eliminatorias CONMEBOL (FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup CONMEBOL Qualifier), what rounds exactly the same quartet than the one fighting for the tickets in the last edition, held in Manta (Ecuador)
