A special gala took place yesterday at the Luzhniki stadium to celebrate the successes of the Russian Beach Soccer National Team
Many personalities of the football and political world in Russia joined yesterday at the Luzhniki stadium to celebrate the achievements of the Russian Beach Soccer National Team, with special emphasis on the recent FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021.
The event, organized by the Football Union of Russia (RFS), counted on the presence of the RFS President, Alexander Dyukov, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Igor Levitin, the RFS General Secretary Aleksandr Alaev, the president of BSWW, Joan Cusco, and the head of the Local Organizing Committee of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021, Ilya Volodarskiy, together with the whole squad and some former beach soccer national stars.
The assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin awarded State awards to the players and the coaching staff of the Russian national team .
Amongst the most important, Mikhail Likhachev was named Knight of the Order of Friendship. Coaches of the national team Andrei Bukhlitsky and Ilya Leonov, as well as football players Yuri Krasheninnikov, Alexei Makarov, Dmitry Shishin and Anton Shkarin were awarded medals of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, 1st class, whereas Arthur Paporotniy and Kirill Romanov were awarded medals of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, II degree.
The first teaser of the film being produced about the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021, already considered the best World Cup in history, were also premiered.
Alexander Dyukov, President of the RFS praised all what the team had achieved: “This year has been very successful for our beach soccer. It took a lot of will character and skill to win at Luzhniki. The fans who were in the stands, as well as people watching from home, experienced incredible emotions. It is doubly pleasant that the victory was achieved at home, at our World Cup. This deed will give even more strength to the development of beach football in Russia!“, he said.
