The Moroccan Football Federation announced the selection of the Senegalese trainer on Saturday
Former Senegal coach, Oumar Sylla, has been announced as the new head coach of the Moroccan beach soccer team.
The FRMF (Royal Moroccan Football Federation) publicised the news of the appointment of the Senegalese coach this weekend.
Sylla had been with the Senegal team since 2016, and his long list of achievements with the African champions include: three Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations titles, reaching for the quarter-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup twice, and the semi-finals in the last edition – the first time an African nation had got so far in the world championships.
Mustapha El Haddaoui, the previous coach of Morocco, will remain at the FRMF, taking on the role of Beach Soccer Development Coordinator.
The talisman of the Morocco squad, Nassim El Hadaoui, will also have a hand in coaching the national team he plays in, assuming the position of Sylla’s assistant.
