Two tight defeats against Euro League Soccer League Champions proved Hilal?s side is ready for the competition
Oman was another one of the teams undergoing a tough test this last weekend. Thalib Hilal?s side faced current Euro Beach Soccer League champions, Switzerland, in two friendly matches held last Friday and Saturday in Muscat.
With just some days to go for the staring signal at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 ? Asian Qualifier Qatar, the Omani chose a terribly competitive side to get to know, with no room for doubt, their real level.
Despite the Swiss won both matches, the sensations were good enough for the Asian side, as only one goal made the difference in both games. The Alpine side, who flew to Muscat with some of their big stars, such as Dejan Stankovic or Stephan Meier, took also advantage of these games to test some new players, for example the MVP of the last Swiss League, Noel Ott, Michael Misev or Artai Zeqirai.
The matches ended up becoming a truly leveled battle. Just one goal had the European prevailing both on Friday (4-5) and Saturday (2-3), what becomes in itself an excellent proof that Oman is in a really good shape, ready to tackle the fight for one of the three tickets to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013.
