The Eliminatorias CONMEBOL al Mundial de Fútbol Playa de la FIFA begin today in Rio de Janeiro
The road to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay 2019 begins today for the CONMEBOL sides, with the Eliminatorias al Mundial de Fútbol Playa kicking off today in Brazil.
Two tickets are at stake for the South American teams, with defending continental and World Cup champions Brazil earmarked as red hot favourites.
Despite their place at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is secure as the hosts, Paraguay will also take place at the Eliminatorias CONMEBOL, being one of the toughest teams in the competition.
Argentina, in group B together with the Guarani, Peru, Venezuela and Chile, will try their best to make their way back to the World Cup, which they missed in the last edition.
Instead, Ecuador will try to secure a ticket to the global showpiece again this year, after their historic qualification in the Eliminatorias of 2017, precisely in Paraguay, when they ended up in the third place.
Also in Group A, Uruguay will look forward to confirm the growth they have been showing lately, just as Bolivia and Colombia will fight to make one step forward.
All in all, competitiveness is more than granted at the Parque Olímpico of Rio de Janeiro, where the fight for a World Cup berth has just begun!
