Are you ready for a 2014 full of beach soccer? There’s bunch of new things to have this year started!
The Beach Soccer World experienced a really unforgettable 2013. With the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti 2013 still fresh in our memories, feeling the rhythms, the vibe and warmth from the Polynesia, and the new success episodes of the Intercontinental Cup in Dubai, the Euro Beach Soccer League, or the Mundialito de Clubes, amongst others, our sails are now set for this season just begun.
The ball keeps flying, and, with the FIFA Beach Soccer world Cup 2015 in Portugal already in the horizon, the upcoming months will bring exciting challenges we are ready and willing to tackle.
We look back and understand how this truly emotional 2013, with the indelible images it has left and the crucial steps it has confirmed, has made the sport stronger, wiser, more experienced. And this strength will absolutely be reflected in the future, which looks brighter than ever. With the satisfaction of the job well done and the new experiences acquired, it is the time now to get ready for what comes next.
This 2014 will exemplify how the Beach Soccer family keeps growing, embracing new members, new territories, new events and new teams, together with the old acquaintances that draw a solid Beach soccer calendar, with more than 20 regular yearly events in the 6 continents. Every passing day Beach Soccer is healthier, bigger, and our dream of becoming a Olympic sport gets closer and closer.
To begin with, let us present one very fancy novelty for this year: The new ball. The Brazuca, with a version specifically designed by adidas for beach soccer, will be the official ball for this upcoming 2014 season.
After the starting signal was given in early January in Recife, with the Copa America Beach Soccer, two new events see the light in February and join the Beach Soccer Circus: The BSWW Tour – Copa San Luis de Futbol Playa, in Merlo (Argentina) and the BSWW Tour – Muscat Beach Soccer Cup, in Oman.
And this is just to get started… The XVIIIth Euro Beach Soccer League, the XIXth Mundialito, a new edition of the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, the IVth Asian Beach Games, new Continental Qualifiers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015, a new episode of the Mundialito de Clubes and many other thrilling events are just around the corner.
Come enjoy with us!
