The Sunrise Beach Soccer Academy Stadium is now open and hosting winter beach soccer
Beach soccer doesn’t need to stop in winter, as the city of Kyiv in Ukraine have shown.
A brand-new centre of grassroots beach soccer, called Sunrise Beach Soccer Academy Stadium, at the Misto Sportu area of the Ukrainian Capital city. The arena has been built jointly by the Ukraine Beach Soccer Association and the Sunrise Beach Soccer Academy, and is specially designed for beach sports. Indeed, it has been hosting hosting youth training sessions these days and the Ukrainian Beach Soccer National Team will start training there soon, too.
The facilities will be used right up to the very top of the game too though…
The new arena will also see the first ever Kyiv Winter Beach Soccer Championship, taking place between 10 and 18 December, and involving 8 teams from all across the country.
The huge step forward is a clear message of intent from Ukrainian beach soccer, whose investment now will no doubt see and even brighter future of the sport.
