Education, inclusion and community engagement at the heart of the Americas Winners Cup
The Beach Soccer Foundation played a highly active and meaningful role in El Salvador during the Americas Winners Cup, delivering a series of initiatives aimed at adding value to the competition, supporting athletes and engaging with the local community.
Across several days, the Foundation organised educational gatherings for players and delivered a beach soccer clinic for children with special needs, reinforcing its commitment to development, inclusion and social responsibility through the sport.
Player Gatherings: Learning, Sharing and Connecting
Two dedicated gatherings were organised for players taking part in the competition, with the objective of promoting networking among athletes and providing added value through educational talks linked to beach soccer and health.
The first session took place on Wednesday, 3 December, and was exclusively dedicated to female players. More than 200 athletes and coaches attended!

This gathering focused on the growth and future of the women’s game, with a series of talks covering the history and development of women’s beach soccer, the global movement advocating for a Women’s Beach Soccer World Cup under the banner “It’s Time For A Women’s Beach Soccer World Cup”, as well as a session on women’s anatomy in beach soccer.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about the work carried out by The Beach Soccer Foundation, the initiatives led by UNAOC (United Nations Alliance of Civilizations), and the role of INDES – Instituto Nacional de Deportes de El Salvador in supporting sport at national level.
The second gathering was held on Thursday, 4 December, for male players competing in the tournament. The programme included talks on the development of beach soccer, alongside presentations outlining the work of The Beach Soccer Foundation, UNAOC and INDES. A dedicated session on sports psychology in beach soccer provided valuable insight into the mental aspects of performance, offering practical tools to support athletes on and off the sand.

Beach Soccer Clinic: Smiles, Inclusion and Joy on the Sand
In addition to the player-focused initiatives, The Beach Soccer Foundation also delivered a beach soccer clinic for disabled children at the iconic Flor Blanca Stadium in San Salvador.

For one unforgettable hour, the children shared the pitch with some of the best beach soccer players in the world, enjoying games, activities and moments of pure joy. The session was filled with smiles, laughter and a genuine celebration of beach soccer as a tool for inclusion and happiness. Besides, everyone got to take home the Llorenç Gomez book “La Sonrisa de Llorenç”.

Through these initiatives, The Beach Soccer Foundation once again demonstrated how beach soccer can go beyond competition, creating meaningful experiences and leaving a positive legacy within host communities.
