Aiming the Asian Beach Games, the Lebanese faced Oman in three friendly games after double-match against Syria
Five matches in six days have shaped the Lebanese Beach Soccer National team schedule during last week. After closing double-clash against Syria last 14th and 15th of April with high solvency (two solid victories), Karim Moghadam wanted a new turn on the screw for his side’s preparation for the Asian Beach Games. To do so, the Lebanese were to take on current Asian runner-ups Oman in a threesome set of friendly matches in Beirut.
This time, results were not that one-coloured for the hosts, as the opponent they had in front made things much harder. In the first of the fixtures, the Thalib Hilal steered side walked past the Lebanese team, mainly because the three goals by star Yahya Al Arami got backed by Almas, with a double, and Khalid, whereas Haitham Fattal’s hat-trick did not find the same support in the host lines…
The other two matches, terribly balanced, needed to be resolved from the penalty spot, as both teams reached the end of extra time with two goals in their register. The Omani side won the first of them, with Mohammad Mary missing his attempt for Lebanon, and Khalid Al Rajhi sending his in, but the same protagonists exchanged roles in the last game for a vice versa ending.
