Two clubs dominate the Euro Winners Cup and become the Movers of the Month: Madrid CFF and BSC Kristall
The Clubs Rankings have been updated in bothe the Men and Women competitions, with some surprising changes in the table.
Madrid CFF have brought the most stunning leap in the Women’s Clubs Ranking, after brilliantly becoming the champions of the Women’s Euro Winners Cup for the first time. The points awarded after that conquest had the Spaniards climbing 5 positions in the ranking, getting in second overall place, following, precisely BSC Zvezda, the side they beat at the Euro Winners Cup final, but who were still out of reach after many years of great results.
Still in the Women’s pool, Marseille BT and Terrassa-Bonaire BSW, jumped six positions, too, with Polish side Red Devils from Chojnice (POL) climbing nothing less than 14 places.
As per the Men’s Clubs Ranking, the results of the last Euro winners Cup produced some significant changes, with a very relevant one being the champions, BSC Kristall, jumping onto the second position and becoming Movers of the Month, too. The Russian side overtook Vasco da Gama and position themselves just one step below SC Braga, still on top of the standings.
Apart from them, the results in the competition brought on many big improvements in some teams: Casa Benfica Caldas de Rainha (+53), CF Els Belenenses (+37), Varzim (+34), MFC Spartak (+33)…
