Japan travels to South America for training camp

Rio de Janeiro until the 21st of January and Buenos Aires from the 23rd to 24th will host friendlies and the Japanese National Team

 

The Nippon are continuing their South American tour which began on January 14th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will finish in Buenos Aires, Argentina on the 24th of January. Japan is prepping for a very important beach soccer season with the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 looming. The training camp features friendly matches in Brazil against top Brazilian clubs, Vasco da Gama, Fluminense, Geração, and one local team from Rio de Janeiro. In Argentina, Japan, led by their coach Marcelo Mendes, will twice face the Albiceleste. 

 

Brazil is an ideal place for beach soccer, being the motherland of the sport proves, and the Blue Samurais are using the training camps to improve their fitness and work on strategies. The beach paradises in Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires provide the ideal conditions for the upcoming six exhibition matches. Japan first takes on Vasco da Gama on the 17th, then again on the 20th. Geração will be the opponent on the 18th and Fluminense will battle Japan on the 19th before the final match in Brazil on the 21st against the Rio de Janeiro club. The showdowns with the Argentine side are on January 23rd and 24th.

 

Many teams have begun the beach soccer season with training camps and Japan is keeping pace as they will be competing for a spot in the World Cup in their regions’ qualifier, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 – AFC Qualifier Doha and then for them there will possibly be the World Cup  later in the summer.
