The Polish National and Grembach Lodz man underwent surgery after a serious knee ligament injury and will need a six-month recovery
Bad news for the Polish Beach Soccer. One of the National side key players, and Grembach Lodz pillar, Daniel Baran, will not be eligible for the whole season… A serious knee injury will have him sidelined for both Euro Winners Cup, Euro Beach Soccer Cup and the whole Euro Beach Soccer League. After the surgery he underwent some days ago, the projected recovery period is about six months.
This means a heavy stroke for both the Polish National side and BSC Grembach Lodz, who had big expectations for the upcoming Euro Winners Cup after brilliantly reediting Polish Championship.
As Jaroslaw Jagielski, president of BSC Grembach Lodz, states: “It will be really difficult to replace him… He had been showing great prowess within the team, and his attacking power was key to straighten out some matches during these last season…“
Despite this important setback, Baran is already looking forward to a quick recovery. “I am in constant contact with him, and he is absolutely full of hope and energy. I have promised that the number 10 jersey will be waiting for him, and despite he cannot play, his knowledge will help us a lot“, Jagielski added.
