12 teams in the men’s division and 8 sides in the women’s will take part in the competition
El Salvador is getting ready to see their National Beach Soccer Championship kick off in the coming weeks. The competition is to begin on 24 April, and it will involve 12 teams in the men’s division, and eight teams in the women’s division, as officially announced by the Instituto Nacional de los Deportes de El Salvador (INDES).
The National Beach Soccer Championship will be organised by INDES, that will also support teams and referees with uniforms and will collaborate with the set up of the different venues.
“We immediately acknowledged the strategic importance beach soccer has in the country, and the great opportunity it offers to bring sports honors to El Salvador. That is why INDES has always supported the modality and the national teams. We already organised the Concacaf Qualifiers for the World Beach Games in a very successful manner, and we know that is the route to follow. And it is with this same idea that we have created this National Beach Soccer League”, the president of INDES, Yamil Bukele, highlighted.
Moreover, INDES are also planning to financially support the champions in both divisions so that they can take part in international competitions organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide.
