Year after year, gaining a ticket to the World Cup gets harder, due to the increase of the competitiveness and the number of teams, undoubtedly the best symptoms of the Beach Soccer’s excellent health. This is exactly what is going to happen in the upcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011 – CONCACAF Qualifier, taking place form December 1st to 5th in the Mexican resort of Puerto Vallarta (Jalisco). Eight teams, the highest number ever, are going to struggle to make their way to Italy 2011: Together with hosts Mexico, the USA, Canada, Bahamas, Jamaica, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala, making their debut in the competition, will fight for the two tickets in play.
The competition will follow a two round robin group format, whose composition will be defined in the Official Draw, to be held in the hoisting city, Puerto Vallarta, next November 24th. The best two teams of each group will qualify for the semifinals, and the two of them getting to the final will also be warranted a place in next summer’s FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
