Eight clubs from six different states will square off as of tomorrow in Santos for the National Brazilian throne
The Arena Beach Soccer in Santos gets ready for the Campeonato Brasileiro de Clubes de Beach Soccer. Between tomorrow, 5th of January, and Sunday 8th, 8 clubs from the whole country will vie for the National crown.
Vasco da Gama (RJ), Botafogo (RJ), Fluminense (RJ), Sampaio Corrêa (MA), Avaí (SC), Grêmio (RS), Rio Branco (ES) and Sport Recife (PE)will be fighting at the Praia do Gonzaga for the national glory and the last remaining bert for the Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Playa, taking place next week.
It is worth remembering that the Campeonato Brasileiro was initially scheduled for early December, but the Chapecoense tragedy had all football events cancelled in the country for a couple of weeks.
The teams in this Campeonato Brasileiro de Clubes have been distributed into two groups:
Group A: Vasco da Gama (RJ), Botafogo (RJ), Fluminense (RJ) e Avaí (SC)
Group B: Sampaio Corrêa (MA), Rio Branco (ES), Sport Recife (PE) e Grêmio (RS)
Only the best 2 ranked sides in each group will be granted access to the semifinals (Saturday, January 7th).
The action will be rocking the Santos sands as of tomorrow, with the following schedule:
