The Verdeamarela beat Argentina twice and faced four local teams in Maranhão in their training for the World Cup Qualifier
Current World Champions, Brazil, are not missing a single minute looking for the best preparation for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Ravenna/Italy 2011 – CONMEBOL Qualifier, taking place in Rio de Janeiro in late July-early August (31st – 7th). During the last weeks, the Verdeamarela have been playing a set of friendly games to quickly step in the way to their best shape. During last week, the Brazilian National Squad spent some days in San Luis, in the state of Maranhâo, where they played four matches against the local teams of Raposa, Paulinho Neves, São José do Ribamar and Morros.
During the weekend, the Canarinha faced the Argentinean National side, as well, in a double clash, winning both of them. In the first of them, Soares’ lads knocked Argentina with a loud 7-1, thanks to the goals by Buru (2), Fernando DDI (2), Savio and Dino Tambau. On Monday, the Albiceleste made things more difficult for the Tetracampeão, but end up leaving the Arena Domingos Leal 3-1 down with Andre and Buru making Dallera’s hit useless.
Alexandre Soares knows better than anyone that the road to the next FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is harder than ever before, and if they want to have the possibility to defend their title in Ravenna this September, they cannot spare any effort in getting to their best shape. Besides, these friendly games are highly valuable for the Brazilian coach to keep testing the players and having under control the new stars that can add even more powder to the Brazilian machinery.
