The Verdeamarela bend Paraguay in the final of the Copa America, with Uruguay clinching third
Brazil will keep for some months at the top of South American beach soccer panorama, confirming once again they are the best in the region. The Verdeamarela clinched yesterday a new honour, the Copa America Fútbol Playa Perú 2018 following a stout win over Paraguay.
There was little Paraguay could do against the tyrannic Brazil, who with a stellar Rodigo (three goals in the final and awarded as the MVP of the event) and clockwork-precise attack sealed the win after a balanced first stages.
Uruguay secure third place
In the previous game, Uruguay could bag the bronze medal, thanks to a 7-4 win over Ecuador.
The goals by Andrés Laens (3), Gastón Laduche (2), Joaquín Martínez and Marcelo Capurro built a consistent advantage that Cedeño (3) and Bailón could not neutralize for la Tri.
