Beach soccer clinic held in São Sebastião

Players and delegates from Flamengo attended the clinic ahead of the Clubs Challenger Cup

It is always rewarding to get to know the local communities a little better in the wonderful places that beach soccer reaches, and sometimes the players get to show them what they do best.

Yesterday this is exactly what happened in the Brazilian city of São Sebastião, when 45 local children from the Meninos Da Vila Project, who are based in the city, attended a beach soccer clinic, which took place at the stadium where the Clubs Challenger Cup will be held over the next few days.

Anailton Santos, Alan Alves da Silva, Thyago Henrique, Paulo Henrique and Gustavo da Silva from CR Flamengo, who are participating in the four-club showdown, came along to demonstrate to the kids exactly how the pros do it.

Also at the clinic was the coach and physio, Rodrigo Fernandes and Eduardo Viana.

The clinic lasted just under an hour, and the players went through several drills and activities to teach the children some of their best skills.

Naturally, there was time for a match at the end and then to round the session off with a group photo.

Grateful to the players, the boys promised to cheer on their new friends in the upcoming tournament!
