The Spanish Sorcerer taught some sport skills to children and adults during the Football Town festival set up in Doha
The attendees to the Football Town of Doha, Qatar, experienced a great surprise when being given the chance of getting Beach Soccer lessons from someone who really masters it: Ramiro Amarelle. Wearing the Barcelona outfit he is likely to wear during the next Mundialito de Clubes, the Spanish sorcerer, widely regarded as the best Beach Soccer player in the world, conducted a very successful clinic, getting hundreds of children and adults interested in getting to know the basic skills for the sport’s practice.
The experience proved also really satisfying for the left-footed star, who assured that “that left me really good sensations. People were really interested in the sport, and it is a matter of work that Beach Soccer grows healthy in Qatar. They have the conditions, they have the interest of the people… Now, it’s the time to invest efforts in making the sport reach the population, and more and more people will get involved in it”.
The Football town was held in celebration of Qatar’s National Sports Day, February 14th, hosted with the cooperation of the Qatar Football Association, the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee and the Qatar Stars League, and taking the grounds of Aspire in the country’s capital, Doha. The festival comprised a vast array of football events, together with entertainment, music, sport-related activities and games.
