The Beach Soccer Foundation held a clinic for kids of the Dubai Center for Special Needs, with Meier and Romanov as coaches
The recently concluded Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai 2013 left us with a bunch of unforgettable moments, images that will remain stuck in our memories for long. Both on and off the pitch. And not necessarily during the games, indeed.
One of the most special moments took place during the morning of the 19th of November, when the Beach Soccer Foundation held a very special clinic, involving 15 kids from the Dubai Center for Special Needs. Stephan Meier (Switzerland) and Kirill Romanov (Russia) were not only the instructors but the masters of ceremonies. Both of them were really active, and they got the best feedback from the kids.
During a couple of hours, the children enjoyed getting to know some of the key movements in beach soccer, taught by the beach soccer stars themselves. After that, an amusing beach soccer game was also held. After the match, where all participants took part, some giveaways were given, including an autographed shorts by Stephan Meier, awarded to the MVP of that special game.
With actions like this, The Beach Soccer Foundation wants to bring Beach Soccer to those kids under special or unfavorable conditions, and seeing the smiles of the children involved is the best reward.
