The Mundialito de Clubes was officially kicked off with the press conference held this morning in Moscow
Spartak Moscow and Russia National coach, Mikhail Likhachev, Lokomotiv Moscow’s Ilya Leonov and his right hand Ivan Kanaev and Beach Soccer Worldwide Deputy Vicep`resident, Gabino Renales, officially kick started the Mundialito de Clube Moscow this morning, in a press conference held at the Ria Novosti headquarters at the Russian Capital.
Ilya Leonov, the first to take the floor, explained that “Lokomotiv president Vitaly Pogodin has always dreamed of bringing Mundialito de clubes to Moscow. And at last the Russian capital will host the tournament”.
“In my opinion, this tournament has all chances to become the best Mundialito de clubes ever. We will face top teams, we will face top players. We will try to do our best, but it will be a tough task to defend our title”, he added.
More in the sportive side, Mikhail Likhachev, highlighted that “As for Spartak, we did a god job during the preparation for the tournament. We played a friendly versus Lokomotiv on Monday. All I can say is that both teams were quite good. But only official matches will show how well we are prepared”.
In addition, the World Cup champion stressed that “This Mundialito de Clubes will be a very special tournament. The best of the best players are lined up in every team. I am absolutely certain that the spectators will enjoy every single game at the Megasport Arena”.
Gabino Renales, in turn, wanted to thank both Spartak Moscow “and his excellent and professional team” and Lokomotiv Moscow for their interest and support in bringing the Mundialito de Clubes to the Russian capital, at the time that he assured that “we will enjoya great spectacle. Seeing the level of the contenders, it is easy to reckon that the competitiveness of the games will be very high”.
