Belarus will be the home for some of the most spectacular names in beach soccer from the 24th-26th of July
Friday marks the opening kick-off for the inaugural BSWW Friendship Cup Belarus 2015 and the beach soccer world is attentively waiting and will be watching until Sunday the 26th, when a champion will be crowned. The three day party will have four teams all vying for the coveted Cup. The hosts will have to take on very stiff competition from Iran, Turkey, and Estonia, in the round-robin format battle. Iran has just recently finished their campaign at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 where they finished in sixth place after qualifying for the quarter-finals and falling just short of the semis.
According to the BSWW World Rankings, Iran is the highest ranked team, but they will feel as underdogs going up against three European sides, all with excellent levels. The Asian side will find the pressure will be on them to win, especially against Turkey in the opening match of the event, as well as on Sunday against Belarus as the beach soccer crazed home crowd will surely affect the outcome.
