Meet Adriele Rocha and find out about what made the Maranhense the beach soccer player she is today
Adriele Rocha, one of the best beach soccer players in the world, was born in Araioses, Maranhão, on the 5th of December of 1996.
One of her great inspirations was his uncle, player and coach of the Flamenguinho de Frexeiras, who she would accompany in all his games and training sessions. The passion for football has been around Adriele since she was born.
At the age of 13, Adriele took part in her first ever beach soccer event, held in the region of Tutóia. The first team, where she was nicknamed Pitty, was from the village of Frexeiras, Agremiação Detonautas.
From that moment on, Adriele has played for some of the biggest clubs in the region, including Juventus de Barro Duro, Atlético Maníacos da Paraíba and the Tutoiense selection, as well as Grembach Lodz in Poland. In 2018, Adriele was named one of the nominees for the Best Women’s Player in the World.
Lots of awards and hundreds of goals support the brilliant performances of a player that finds inspiration in other top class beach soccer players such as Brazil’s number 10 Datinha, or the Tutoienses Eudim end Edinho.
Besides being a great player, Adriele is also a person with a great heart, someone who deserves to be where she is, and who is inspiring other athletes of the region and also surrounding states.
Although in the past she sometimes thought about giving up, mainly due to the lack of support on an institutional level, Adriele is now more focused than ever, and is fully backed by top class athletes and her community. She looks forward to a long and successful career on the sand, including the dream of playing for the Brazil Women’s Beach Soccer National Team.
