The Suzuki Swiss Beach Soccer league will end this weekend with an exciting finale that will determine the final league standings
This weekend, beginning Friday, August 23rd, the amazing bay of Spiez will become the host to Beach Soccer party that can?t be missed. The Suzuki Swiss Beach Soccer league is winding down and no one knows what kind of excitement is in store. Friday evening will also include an International friendly between the Swiss National team and The Dutch team.
The 24th marks the start of the playoffs and the title defense of Grasshopper Club Zürich, there will be a playoff match for 13th place all the way up to the semi-finals between the top four teams, BSC Scorpions Basel vs BSC Sable Dancers Bern and Grasshopper Club Zürich vs BSC Chargers Baselland. The two semi-final matches will be broadcast on live television as well.
Sunday will be the final day of this event-filed weekend that will also include concerts every night to add to the already electric Beach Soccer energy that is always present. The final on Sunday will be televised and despite losing a week ago to the BSC Sable Dancers, led by Swiss striker Dejan Stankovic, in the Swiss Cup final, Grasshopper Club Zürich will hope to be in the Suzuki Swiss league championship match again to defend their title.
The festivities will end all-too soon on Sunday evening at 17:30 with the final match. The extremely successful Swiss league, the best in Switzerland, will have to wait for the 2014 season to have another event like this.
