National Beach Soccer elite will compete in Lloret de Mar (27th-30th of June) where Gimnastic will defend their title
On June 27th, Lloret de Mar will become the epicenter of everything beach soccer as the eight best teams in Spain will battle in the second annual National Beach Soccer Championship. The event will bring various members of the Spanish National Beach Soccer team, who will be vying for the World Cup in Tahiti in September, together to play for this coveted championship. In addition, the winner will earn a chance to play in the Euro Winners Cup.
This will be an excellent opportunity to see the best of beach soccer, a sport growing exponentially every year. All eyes will be on Lloret de Mar as RFEF, UEFA, and FIFA will all be paying attention as well.
Format:
The teams will all play against one another; the matches will be played starting at 10:00 a.m. and the last one will start 7:30 p.m. from the 27th to the 30th of June. The matches will be played at Guitart Club Goya in the city of Lloret de Mar. Admission will be free as everyone will be able to come and enjoy the superb facilities provided by the city for this spectacular weekend of beach soccer.
Gimnastic de Tarragona will defend their title, which they earned last year, in the first annual National Beach Soccer Championship played at the Barcelona CN facilities. Whether it is Gimnastic de Tarragona or a new team, the winner will get the chance to play in the Euro Winners cup, the European Cup of Beach Soccer.
D. Diego Martínez Gómez, president of the National Committee of Beach Soccer will also be in attendance.
