Spain crowns new champion

Cadiz FP-Aluminio Sotelo takes over as winners of the Spanish National League, dethroning Nàstic de Tarragona

Cadiz Futbol Playa ? Aluminios Sotelo claimed the champion?s cup last weekend in the Spanish National Championship. The Andalusian side won all their games to replace the Catalans Gimnàstic de Tarragona (runner ups this year) as Spanish champions, after their stunning performances in the final stage of the league, held in Lloret de Mar (Girona), with the involvement of several top-flight professional football clubs.

Eleven-a-side clubs UD Almería, Girona FC, CD Murcia or Levante CF confirmed their strong bet on beach soccer, with their specialized sections competing in the National pool.

At the same time, most of the Spanish national Team was there, too, with players distributed in different teams. Cristian Torres, who played for the champions Cadiz FP ? Aluminio Sotelo, Llorenç (Gimnàstic de Tarragona), Christian, Juanma and Pajón (CD Murcia), Nico, Dona, Raul Mérida and Antonio Mayor (UD Almería), Cintas and Sidi (Melistar) Beiro, Xan and Nelson (Girona FC) and Aceitón (Levante UD), uplifted the growing level of the championship.
