Two brothers who are separated by just over a year in age and less than 2cm in height have both never strayed far from the pitch. Any pitch. Much of that love and determination comes from the family. Their father specifically taught them to never give up and both have taken that to heart.
Family is the one thing that has always been constant for the siblings and that has given them the strength to pursue their dreams. Their father taught them many lessons but like all great nuggets of wisdom they are applicable to more than just one thing in life, and both brothers have used those teachings to create different yet similar paths for each other. The late Saganowski patriarch often told the family that nature is not just there, it is formed and that they must fight together to get what they want.
Marek currently plays 11v11 for one of the top Polish clubs, Legia Varsovia, as well as the Polish National team. He has had to overcome various injuries but has maintained his skill and work ethic during a long career that has taken him to big clubs such as Southampton, Hamburg SV, Feyenoord, Aalborg, etc. The elder brother, Boguslaw, prominently earned his way onto the football field in a manner similar to Marek´s, through club teams in the 11 a-side format, but in the last decade he became the iconic player of both the Polish Beach Soccer National Team, and long-time Polish champions Grembach Lodz.
Nothing comes easy and through thick and thin the Saganowski name and family have stayed true to their passions and formed a very recognizable name in the sports world. This past season has been a rebirth for Marek as he has scored often and was the hero in an important match against rivals Zawisza. Boguslaw and Poland had a very busy season as they hosted a Euro Beach Soccer League Group Stage event in Sopot, played in the EBSL Promotion Final, as well as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 Europe Qualifier Jesolo – Italy.
