The FIFA Council meeting, held in China this October, confirmed the Russian FA’s bidding as the winner
The 2021 edition of the FIFa Beach Soccer World Cup will travel to Russia, following the ratification at the FIFA Council meeting this morning in China.
The bidding by the Russian Football Association (FUR) prevailed over the other two candidacies, presented by FESFUT (Salvadorian Football Association) and the Chilean Football Association.
Russia as one of the most active, strongest and most prestigious beach soccer hotspots in the world, has been leading a laudable work in the development and strengthening of both national and international beach soccer, holding a yearly prime class event. The last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup European Qualifier, held this past July in Moscow, highlighted again their excellent organizational capacity and their special taste for everything beach soccer.
The Russian Football Association, with president Alexander Dyukov and General Secretary Aleksandr Alaev, fully deserved to be awarded the organization of beach soccer’s top competition, after so many years of commitment and excellent work.
The competition will take place in Moscow in the summer of 2021, and the dates will be confirmed soon.
