The hosts won both matches narrowly as the side prepare for the 2021 beach soccer season
Russia overcame Belarus in two pre-season friendly matches in preparation for the 2021 season.
The games come as the European nation prepare for the qualifier for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, to be held in Moscow in August. The details of the qualifier are to be released soon.
Two matches were played, one on Sunday 28 March and the other on Tuesday 30, and Russia won both with an aggregate score of 7-4.
Game one saw Makarov, Kosharniy and Zemskov net for Russia while the Belarussian giant Ryabko pulled on back for the visitors, to see the final whistle sound at 3-1.
On the second day, Ryabko struck again from the penalty line, while his teammate Hapon scored two. However, Russia’s star Nikonorov also scored twice, and goals from veterans Paporotnyi and captain Shkarin wrapped up another three points for Russia. The final score of the second match was 4-3.
