The world of beach soccer says goodbye to Dick Whalen, founder and soul of the North American Sand Soccer Championships
Dick Whalen, the founder and heart of the North American Sand Soccer Championships, the huge beach soccer festival held yearly in Virginia Beach, has sadly passed away this morning.
His spirit, love for the game and leadership have been an example to everyone around him for years.
Beach Soccer Worldwide want to send our most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, as well as the whole HRSC and NASSC families, to which he was a constant inspiration for almost three decades.
Rest in peace, friend. You will be very missed.
