The High Performance Center sets up a top-class, state-of-the art training ground, open to clubs and National FAs worldwide
The Centre d’Alt Rendiment (High Performance Sports Center) in Barcelona has just announced the opening of a Beach Soccer pitch within its facilities. Acknowledging the growth of the sport and its quick climbing to the global highest scale, the direction of the center wanted equip their complex with a top-class Beach Soccer pitch, with the official measures, official goalposts and a sand of the best quality (Silice V600 RH). This training ground, set up with the close advice of Beach Soccer Worldwide, and the support from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Consejo Superior de Deportes, is open to any club or National Football Association to enjoy.
These amusing top-class training facilities for elite athletes, ascribed to the ASPC (Association for Sports Permormance Centre) are regarded as one of the most prestigious in the world, with figures supporting a successful 25 years of history. 414 medals in the Olympic Games and World Championships in many different sports talk about the success of the training programmes designed by the CAR, which has been home to top teams such as tennis star Rafael Nadal, the record-breaking Spanish Synchronized Swimming National Team, 2012 Taekwondo Gold Medalist Joel González, Swimming World Champion Erika Villaécija, or 2008 Gymnastics Silver Medalist, amongst many others.
Athletes from all over the world fly to Barcelona to enjoy all what thie High Performance Center offers. Located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, 20 minutes north-west of Barcelona´s city centre, the CAR finds itself in the core of a natural area, and allows athletes to train and rest in the best conditions, enjoying at the same time Barcelona´s excellent Mediterranean climate, endless sunshine and low rainfall. The centre is especially tailored for the most demanding athletic sphere, with amenities such swimming pools, athletic track, tennis courts, gymnasiums and of course a full-size beach soccer pitch as well. CAR gives the possibility to host up to 325 athletes in double and quadruple rooms, all containing a bathroom, TV, telephone and free WIFI, and a specially sports-oriented restaurant where athletes can enjoy meals throughout the day.
