The event that was played in Isla Canela beach received regional acclaim
The Mundialito Andalucia was considered by the “Asociación Onubense de la Prensa Deportiva” the best event of the year at their 35th annual gala.
The award, that was handed by the President of the association José Luis Camacho Malo, was received by Teresa Herrera, Delegate in Huelva for the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government from in the ceremony that took place this Monday at the Gran Teatro Huelva, and where Josep Ponset was present as Director of Events in representation of Beach Soccer Worldwide
The Mundialito Andalucía took place between the 13th and 15th October in Ayamonte, Huelva. In the women’s tournament Spain won their second title, finishing above Portugal, the USA and England. Brazil were the champions of the men’s competition, while the UAE finished second, home team Spain were third and Mexico took the fourth place.
Also in the Gala del Deporte, local beach soccer club Recreativo de Huelva Fútbol Playa won the Best Club award.
